It is of interest to me how fluffy these dholes can get I've seen a very significant range of fluffiness (or lack there of) in these animals in many images on the web. I wonder, if maybe it is a natural adaptation to living in Minnesota?

I would guess it's a cold weather environment thing. I have a photo of one of the dholes taken in the middle of July and they weren't nearly as fluffy looking. Of course it was also pouring rain at the time which could be a cause of defluffication lol
